the rosary: an introduction

this section of the web site is dedicated both to promoting devotion to the rosary and to showcasing my custom designed rosaries and chaplets.

while most people who are unfamiliar with the rosary see it as a mindless chant, what they don't understand is that the rosary is really a meditation on the lives of Mary and Jesus.it is not only a vocal prayer but a mental one as well, in which we reflect on the mysteries of the life of our Lord and His Blessed Mother. Each decade (each set of 10 Hail Mary beads in the circular part of the Rosary beads) represents a single Mystery in their lives, and as the prayers are prayed, we contemplate that particular Mystery. There are 4 sets of 5 Mysteries -- the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and Luminous Mysteries.

The rosary is a powerful prayer that helps us reflect on the mysteries of Jesus' life and ask for the intercession of our Blessed Mother in our prayers to Jesus.
